gef4000 mx 0 Posted April 8, 2006 Everyone can point, laugh, throw stones at me if you want, but I have little clue on what Overclocking and Mobo means .... I know it increases perfomance speeds and stuff but can someone please give me a text-book definition and then a simplified version of the text-book defintion and if you're doing nothing else then maybe an example of how to overclock your computer ... Wilhelmus 1 Posted April 8, 2006 Mobo: MOtherBOard. Overclocking: "is the process of forcing a computer component to run at a higher clock rate than designed or designated by the manufacturer." - source:wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overclocking) I am overclocking my CPU from 2.0GHz to 2.20 GHz at the moment, for example. Hope this helps a little. Share this post Link to post
