Hades 0 Posted May 11, 2006 Hello, name's Terry, I am running on Windows 98. For some reason, when I come to play a certain game, my computer totally freezes up when I'm actually starting to play the game. Example, "Rune". The menu is fine, everything seems okay, but when I come to join a multiplayer game, my computer just freezes up, leaving me no choice but to reboot it with the reset button. It does this also with "Soldat", a free 2D side scroller shooter online, which shouldn't be hard to run on any computer. Same story here. Setup and menu are fine, but when I come to join someone's game or just play single player, my computer freezes up again. I thought maybe it was my DirectX version, but it isn't, because it's obviously up to date. I tried doing a virus scan, didn't do the trick either. Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.
