Do you mean XP or server 2003?

Try running it in compatibility mode. Right-click the game executable or shortcut and select Properties. Compatibility tab.

Select Windows 2000.

Then select Shortcut tab:

Add "3D=dx8z", without quotes and outside of the path quotes, to the end of the "Target" property.

So it reads:

"C:\Program Files\EA Sports\FIFA 2002\fifa2002.exe" 3D=dx8z

(Note: Path and .exe name are different in your system.)

Click OK.

I have the same problem.

When I set compatibility to Win 95 or NT /98, the program launches, but when I start the football game, it crashes to desktop - yes, many people had the same problem, but it probably ca be solved by setting compatibility to Win 2k.

But when I set Win 2000 compatibility, FIFA 2002 screen splashes (probably checking CD) and then just nothing happens - the program won't start (even before EA intro) and there is no process fifa2002.exe

So if I set Win 2k compatibility, the FIFA 2002 can't even start. Maybe it can't load the CD? But there is no error about un/original CD frown.

Any ideas to help me solve this problem, please? (btw I have original fifa 2002) frown Thank you!

UPDATE

I already managed to download a crack, so I can now run the game with Win 2000 compatibility, but it does not help - I can start the program, view the fifa 02 menu, but when I start the game, there is a flash of black and then the game just quits to my desktop without popping any error message.

I have all the latest drivers, etc. Oh, and I forgot to mention that my system is Windows XP.

So, is there anyone who could be able to help me, please?
