DJSMIFF 0 Posted July 9, 2006 Hello. I'm having the MSVCRT.DLL issue with IE and media player, but I'm running xp home edition and so far all the advice I've found on various websites is for windows 98. Can anyone help me? Share this post Link to post
Cormac 0 Posted July 10, 2006 DJ, don't double post. You are knocking off someone elses problem and they need help also. You can get the DLL at this address. http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcrt Share this post Link to post
DJSMIFF 0 Posted July 10, 2006 Sorry about the double post, my computer froze so I didn't think the first one went through. I've got the file, but it's what I do with the file that has me a lil lost. I was told to go to the selective startup menu and log in using command prompt only. I did that, but the next step I was when i get to the DOS window to type in cd windows\system. When I did that I got a message that the file path does not exist. Share this post Link to post
Sampson 0 Posted July 11, 2006 Actually, what you would type is - Cd\Windows\system . But this depends on what directory you start from when the Dos prompt comes up. To make sure just type cd\ to get yourself to the root directory, then type cd\Windows\system . Share this post Link to post
