HELP! NHL 2000 - 3D Setup

Three questions.

 

Why do I have the Direct3D Device 1 option in 3DSetup: NHL 99 from the drop-down list, but not for 3DSetup: NHL 2000?

 

Note: I copied the NHL 99 3dsetup file into the NHL 2000 setup folder, but encountered an error.

 

Is it possible to use the Direct3D Device 1 option as NHL 2000's 3D renderer like NHL 99, and if so how? Or must I use Software Renderer?

 

Any help is greatly appreciated.

After much trial and error I found the solution, so a mod can close or delete this thread if they wish.
