andretti racing on xp

hiya this is my first post on here so please be gentle but im having a lot of trouble trying to play andretti racing on my xp computer ive tried the compatability things but to no avail any help would be very gratefully recieved

well i can install it fine with the compatability thing ok but then when it comes to play it it just goes black and locks up my system ive managed to get it installed o n my virtua pc with windows 95 but the controls wont work right on there even on the keyboard any help please
