Red Light on tower / Harddrive Activation ?

as soon as i boot into windows 2000 and after its all booted up and ready to go noticed the red light on my case blinks ever 2 seconds and i can hear the hard drive when the light blinks, it wont stop doing this to i do something or open something???

Its probably because its cacheing stuff on your harddrive, and that redlight means its accessing your drive

Well, either cut down on what you are loaing in the background at startup. Or add more ram. If you just want to get rid of the light, you could alwasy just unplug it.
