mikedora 0 Posted October 13, 2006 I am trying to get an old flightsim game (European Air War) to work properly under Windows NT - for reasons I need not go into here I am working with a scrounged, ancient PC right now, on an island far, far away, without the prospect of upgrading to XP. I can get the program to run using the slayerui.dll compatibility layer fix, but cannot get it to recognise my (valid & proven with other flightsims) joystick set-up. From everything I have read, the solution seems to be via the Application Compatibility Toolkit. Trouble is, the only version of this I can find is v4.1 on the MS website, and its install utility won't run under Windows NT (even with the slayerui.dll trick). Is there any way of getting this rather frustratingly incompatible Application Compatibility Toolkit to run under NT, or are there older, NT-compatible versions available anywhere? DosFreak 2 Posted October 13, 2006 I only have the demo but I've never been able to get the game to work. My Game Compatibility List: http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=8784 Never used these instructions: http://www.ntcompatible.com/European_Air_War_c463.html since I just have the demo. If your really using an ancient PC then just install 98 on it. Share this post Link to post
