alex_6543 0 Posted October 23, 2006 Hi, I've just downloaded and installed Vista RC1. Now I can no longer boot into my Win2k OS. The following error comes up: hal.dll is missing. System config: One Hard drive: 4 partitions: <Win xp> <Vista> <Win 2k> Any help would be appreciated, I need Win2k back as that's where I do all of my productivity. Thank you again, Alex- Share this post Link to post
Wilhelmus 1 Posted October 23, 2006 Check that C:\boot.ini has correct entry for 2000. For example, that it points to right partition. Share this post Link to post
fpsdyl 0 Posted January 10, 2007 somewhere in vista you can set the entries for the bootloader... right click my computer -- properties -- advanced tab -- under startup and recovery click settings (that's how u edit the bootloader in xp)-just find it in vista! Share this post Link to post
