DosFreak 2 Posted March 7, 2000 Are you using the latest bios and drivers? ------------------ C:\Dos C:\Dos\Run \Run\Dos\Run Share this post Link to post
Ge0ph 0 Posted March 7, 2000 The way I fixed all my HPT 366 problems was just install a Promise Ultra66. Now I have zero problems with any drive. Share this post Link to post
APV_SAV 0 Posted March 8, 2000 From what I heard, Maxtor and WD have problem with HPT, Quantum has no problem with any bios+driver, IMB has no problem with latest driver+bios. I am planning to get a Fujitsu 7200rpm drive wonder anyone has experience with it and htp66 btw i have a quantum and no problem with hpt Share this post Link to post
Super Fly 0 Posted March 8, 2000 I have a WD Expert 18 gig drive, no problems since 1.2 bios and drivers, and I have copied around files >1gb with no problems. Not a single problem with the controller, really. Share this post Link to post
APV_SAV 0 Posted March 8, 2000 I heard that if you format the Maxtor with 512bytes cure the lockup with ata66 Share this post Link to post
Unrealistic 0 Posted March 12, 2000 My drive is only a 13.6 GB Western Digital and I use the lastest drivers from ABit's site. Not a single problem as of yet. ------------------ PIII650 @ 728 Abit BE6-2 256MB PC 100 TnT2 32MB Ultra Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted March 12, 2000 I use an ABIT BE6 and I have my Matrox 6800 27.2g 7200rpm DMA/66 on the 66 controller. Yesterday I deleted 2 .vob files 1g each. Both files deleted in less than 2 seconds. I'm happy. ------------------ C:\Dos C:\Dos\Run \Run\Dos\Run Share this post Link to post
