misawa 0 Posted December 15, 2006 I used partition magic 8.0 to create the partition for Ubuntu 6.10 and the swap partition. Booting in to Linux works fine, but when I attempt to boot in to Xp using GRUB, I get an "autocheck" error and it fails to load Xp. I can't seem to find the grub.conf (it's not in /boot/grub or /etc). Any ideas? Yep, I'm a noob. misawa Share this post Link to post
Wilhelmus 1 Posted December 16, 2006 I think it's /boot/grub/menu.lst in Ubuntu. Share this post Link to post

misawa 0 Posted December 19, 2006 FYI: I had to unhide the Xp partition. Boots in to both OS's fine now. Share this post Link to post
