FallenDruid 0 Posted December 16, 2006 Trying to get Company of Heroes to run on Win2k, and have successfully destroyed OS once. Currently, I'm getting an error message about ntdll.dll, specifically: "The Procedure Entry point LdrLockLoaderLock could not be located in the dynamic link library ntdll.dll." Simply replacing the ntdll.dll file with a more current, winxp version results in (of course) the BSOD. Any ideas, other than getting winxp? Share this post Link to post
Wilhelmus 1 Posted December 16, 2006 Sadly, Windows 2000 is not supported by CoH. Quote: Company of Heroes Platform(s) Windows XP, Windows Vista. Does not run on Windows 2000. Share this post Link to post
DosFreak 2 Posted December 16, 2006 Found this: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Q_21017640.html which probably won't be helpful but read this: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=107520&page=1&pp=15 Only thing I can think of is that there's a guy on the MSFN forums making a kernel update patch for 9x that allows games that didn't work on 9x (because they are 2k/XP only) to work. He could probably program somthing up if he wanted to but I doubt he'll bother, he seems to have his hands full with 9x. This is the only game I've heard of that actually requires XP. The other "doesn't work under 2k" problems were just installshield restrictions. Share this post Link to post
