cowgirlky 0 Posted December 19, 2006 My problem started when my computer tried to restart itself. It cannot boot to windows XP. It says there is a corrupt or missing system32 file (ntoskrnl.exe).I found another post on here with the same problem----Sekiria101---Post # 172444--that was posted back in April.I don't have a WinXp CD either, just 4 restore cds.Could someone tell me what I need to do. I do not have a floppy drive. I do have access to a WinXP laptop with a CD drive. Can I make a copy of the file on a CD and then copy it to the crashed computer through DOS. If so, what are the commands ,etc. I had a "load needed DLLs for kernel" error about 1 week before this. But I got it back up and running and didn't lose anything that I had saved.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Cowgirlky Share this post Link to post
Sampson 0 Posted December 19, 2006 Unless you recall using a clean-up tool or some other utility that may have deleted this file, more than likely your hard drive has failed. Share this post Link to post
