karlie 0 Posted December 19, 2006 I am currently justifying my reason for chosing to implement a client server network for a system that has 16 computers where each one is running windows XP AND office XP; the hard drives are formatted with NTFS. I was wondering whether or not there is any limitations with using peer to peer networks when NTFS is concerned?? I know that NTFS is not compatable with other operating systems when they are on the same computer...a partition needs to use a FAT file system for the computer to deal with more than one O.S. Please forward anything you may know on this subject... thank you! karlie Share this post Link to post
peterh 1 Posted December 27, 2006 None what so ever. Over a network the filesystem is irrelevant, as you will be using shares using SMB or CIFS to access files. Share this post Link to post
