Display annoyance
This is a discussion about Display annoyance in the Linux Hardware category; OK, here's a really strange problem. I just installed a new Radeon X1650 Pro card, and it works fine except one little glitch. In linux (Mandriva 2007), my monitor displays this box that says input not recognized that floats around the desktop.

I've tried looking in my monitors menu to turn it off, with no success.
This problem doesn't happen in Windoze.

OP
Thanks again danleff, that worked. Where do you come up with all of these fixes?
The fix was as simple as changing the refresh rate back to where it should be.
Why didn't I think of that.
