catlady 0 Posted January 16, 2007 I've just installed SKYPE, with a webcam and a Voip/Skype phone. My computer is very unhappy with these; it will operate either the webcam or the phone but not both at a time. I get the message that there is "Insufficient USB Bandwidth". What can I do about changing "insufficient" to sufficient? How do I even find out where on the computer there is anything about USB Bandwidth. Grateful for help, please. Share this post Link to post
thatsteveguy 0 Posted January 16, 2007 My first guess would be that you have USB 1.1 as opposed to USB 2. Right clic on My Computer (on the desktop) and choose Manage. from there clic on Device Manager and clic the little + sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers and see if you have a USB 2 enhanced host controller. if not then you either need to install drivers for USB 2 but you need to know what kind of motherboard you have and whether or not it supports 2.0. best place to check for that is with the manufacturer of the motherboard you have. Also don't run these devices from a usb hub make sure they are plugged directly into the usb ports on your computer. S Share this post Link to post
