DJ 0 Posted March 10, 2000 Okay, this is my one little problem with Win2k (other than no Banshee drivers that work properly), I can't get UDMA working! I have a board based on the ALi 1531/33 chipset with a M5229 Bus Mastering IDE controller. Its a bad motherboard (made by PC Chips), UDMA works fine under Win98 (1 - 6% cpu usage) but under Win2k I get between 75 - 96% cpu usage (using CLiBench). I've tried different drivers (the win98 and win nt ones) and nothing works, help? Thanks, Daniel Share this post Link to post

Unrealistic 0 Posted March 12, 2000 Not sure for your setup's. But the only way for me to get UDMA to work on my ABIT BE6-2 is to load the Highpoint UDMA drivers as SCSI drivers during a install. (When it ask for any additional controllers) After that WIN 2000 runs the UDMA just fine and no problems. ------------------ PIII650 @ 728 Abit BE6-2 256MB PC 100 3D Prophet SDR 32MB Share this post Link to post
