hardwarecrazy 0 Posted February 11, 2007 Please advise on this issue: After a hard disk File Allocation Table failure, I reinstalled W2KServer on the drive c: without reformatting the drive. Everything works now, except that in the Documents and Settings, I find additional profiles such as Administrator.Mycomputer.000, Administrator.Mycomputer.001 etc in addition to Administrator.Mycomputer and some folder or other within these additional profiles are updated (by looking at the date stamp). I am the only one with Admin privileges and the only one who logs on to the system. I have thoroughly checked the system for viruses, spywares etc and the system is protected by McAfee and Webroot products all the time. What is going on in my system? Thank you. Wilhelmus 1 Posted February 11, 2007 When you reinstalled, Windows did not overwrite the old account folders and just created new folders for the accounts. Duplicate profile folders exist under the "Documents and Settings" folder? Some discussion here:administrator.000, administrator.001, etc. Share this post Link to post
