Ekstreme 0 Posted March 14, 2000 ME: Hi, I'm curious to the status of your Windows 2000 drivers. On your Windows 2000 Compatability page, it says the following: "Drivers should be available by release of W2K Nvidia reference drivers are available". Since windows 2000 has been out for almost a month now and your site does say, '..available by release date', can we expect drivers soon?? I also found it very dissapointing that this posting was not made until the official release date and inturn contradicts the statment of drivers being released by this time. Other manufactureres such as creative have released official drivers for their tnt based cards, albeit beta, they have still provided something for their customers. I'm am sadly disapointed with the lack of support from a large company with an equally large reputation backing their products. Too bad about the driver/customer support eh? THEM: Dear Valued Customer, We'd love to give you the answer you seek, but we have no access to the answer. NEW PRODUCT OR DRIVER RELEASE DATE INFORMATION Please understand that we in Technical Support are not privy to new product of driver release information. We find out basically when you do: when it's shipped to the stores or posted on our web site. Technical Support is NOT part of the product or driver development nor engineering departments; we handle resolving problems on products after they are released. Our drivers and BIOSes for our video cards are available on our web site: http://www.diamondmm.com/, go to Customer Care and either choose "Drivers Only" or go to Technical Support and choose the specific product in question. The latest, as well as previous driver versions, are archived on our FTP server: ftp://ftp.diamondmm.com/pub/. what a W*NK! Share this post Link to post
Andy_25 0 Posted March 14, 2000 I can't believe the answers these companies give sometimes! If this is not a technical support issue, why didn't they forward the message to whoever it does concern?! I was also curious about the message '..available by release date', but I guess that doesnt really mean anything... Share this post Link to post
Ekstreme 0 Posted March 15, 2000 Mebe we should try emailing some of these threads to hardware manufactures so they can see how F*cked up the situation really is! Share this post Link to post
