microsoft sidewinder ff wheel shaking non stop

I own a sidewinder ff wheel, game port version.

when i start playing f1 challenge 99-02 for example, as soon as i go to the track and the car goes over an apex u feel the corresponding vibration, the problem is that the wheel interprets this vibration and continues to simulate this vibration forever, and i cant get rid of it till i plug the power off and back on again.

I was wondering if someone had this same problem and can help me, that'd be great!
