phowardtx 0 Posted July 18, 2007 I've got XP installed on a 160GB "basic" drive and I've got two 320GB "dynamic" drives that are mirrored. I bought a new 250GB drive that I'm going to install Vista on it but for some reason Disk Management is not letting me format and partition as a "basic". I'm not sure if this is because there are already "dynamic" drives on the system or not. Partition Magic has been no help. Even though Disk Management sees the new drive as "unallocated", Partition Magic still sees it as "dynamic". Is there some trick to get this drive allocated as basic without having to backup/delete/repartition my 320GB data drives? Thanks in advance for your help! Share this post Link to post
