PC intermediate, Nvidia installation help.....

I'm probably on the intermediate level of computer hardware and compatibilities and such.

 

I've just spent the past hour and a half trying to put in an GeForce MX 4000 x4 on my girlfriends PC.

 

her graphics card that came with her computer detatches from the motherboard, so i just switched them

 

once i switched the cards, the monitor does not respond to the new video card.

 

now, i dont have the CD for the card anymore, but I've downloaded the driver from the internet needed for it.

 

can anyone help me out?

im losing my mind on this.
