suveduka 0 Posted September 3, 2007 Dear friends, Can anyone help me with this issue? I am having OS of windows XP sp2 professional. I encrypted some files while my administrator name is sundaramurthy. Then one day I formatted the C drive and installed the same OS but with administrator name as sundaramoorthy.Now I cannot retrieve that encrypted files. It shows user detail as sundaramurthy. Wilhelmus 1 Posted September 4, 2007 If you did not backup your EFS key before you formatted, sadly your files are gone. Try if AEFSDR (Advanced EFS Data Recovery) can recover them. And for future: How to back up the recovery agent Encrypting File System (EFS). Share this post Link to post
