CUViper 0 Posted March 16, 2000 Hi I seem to remember this being an issue a while back, and i don't remember if it was ever resolved. You CAN install another processor without reinstalling win2k... the instructions are here on the ms site: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows2000/techenthusiast/tricks/administration/uniprocessor.asp Hope this is helpful! acidspray 0 Posted March 17, 2000 right on, viper! i used this little trick to save myself a "refresh" install of win2kpro. i was having the usb problems under win2kpro on the BP6 with MPS1.4, so I had to go back to 1.1. i flashed the new qqbeta bios (which fixes the usb dealio), set MPS to 1.4, forced a reinstall of the same ACPI Multi drivers using the trick in device manager, and voila MPS1.4 with correct USB without a reinstall of Win2k. Woohoo, thanks! ------------------ -AciD >-----------------------< Hardware: BP6 running QQ Beta BIOS Dual Celeron 366 @ 566MHZ 128MB Samsung -GL IBM UDMA66 13.6g WDC UDMA33 5.1g Toshiba 32x OTI Socrates 2x2x6x V3-2000-AGP clocked @ 166 SB AWE64 Value Hayes V90 Int.
