lryerfdog 0 Posted September 14, 2007 Hey, I have 4 or 5 IBM Deskstar HDD and i am looking to low level format them/zero fill. I work for a company and we need this to be done in order to remove patient information permanently. I looked on IBM's website for a formatting utility but came up with nothing. If anyone has any suggestions or knows of something i don't, please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks. Share this post Link to post

jmmijo 1 Posted September 15, 2007 Since IBM sold their storage division to Hitachi, you can get all the tools needed from here. The tools are backwards compatible with IBM branded HDD's too Share this post Link to post
austin8218 0 Posted November 5, 2007 Hi, Some old motherboards had the low level format ontion in the bios screen itself. You may want to try that. best luck, Austin. Share this post Link to post
