news 28 Posted April 4, 2008 Hi! Diamond has been so kind and sent us one of its new Diamond Radeon HD 3870 1GB cards. Just the fact that it sports 1GB RAM instead of the regular 512MB makes it stand out, but what really caught our attention was the fact that it has a 512-bit memory bus instead of the reference 256-bit. The relatively narrow bus of most RV670 and G92 cards is a common complaint among many, whether it's justified or not is something we will look at here today. We've updated our recently published roundup with the just released Diamond HD 3870 1GB and Diamond Radeon HD 512MB. The 1GB version has eight 64-bit memory chips, and for that to work you need a 512-bit bus." Image (120x90):http://www.nordichardware.com/image3.php?id=4841 A news post would be most appreciated!
