Does your SB Live! do this??

Does the sb live drop any sounds or muffle/amplify sounds on some games?? on my mx300 (vortex2) using the drivers off win2k cd i have that problem with nascar3/legends, rouge spear, and today, st:armada. i was thinking of dropping a live(mp3 or xgamer) in if these sound problems are not evident with that card. i doubt aureal will have any real drivers anytime soon (it took them how long to release drivers w/ eax support??). thanks for any input.

AHAHAHAA i am not alone. my mx300 like amplyphys some crap to in windows 2000! i want drivers. i am thinkin of gettin a live value from www.pricewatch.com for around 30 dollars. my friend has it and say it is cool. but then again, this kid told me that gay oral [censored] is cool. so i dont know if i should believe him. this is mainly because i am not gay.
