news 28 Posted April 30, 2008 Everything USB is pleased to announce our Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 Review If you're going to go wireless with peripherals, why not do it all the way, and ditch the wire on your keyboard? Microsoft would certainly like you to do so: they've got a whole line of paired wireless keyboard and mouse products, including their new flagship product, the Wireless Laser Desktop 7000, designed to reduce wire clutter and - particularly in the case of the Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 - increase productivity through all kinds of built in functions. How well does the ensemble work, and are the features worth the money? Today, we'll be finding out. http://www.everythingusb.com/microsoft-wireless-laser-desktop-7000-14632.html Verdict: Although the reliance on a non-rechargeable alkaline battery to power the keyboard is a little troubling, and the keyboard's floating keys can be difficult to use, overall the keyboard and mouse that make up the Wireless Laser Desktop 7000 are pleasant to look at, easy to program, and best of all, easy to use. For these reasons, and despite its minor flaws, I'm happy to give it my full recommendation. Pros: + Function keys quickly move from luxuries to necessities + Mouse and keyboard are comfortable and easy to use + Attractive styling + Works equally well in XP and Vista Cons: - Keyboard is not rechargeable - Floating buttons can be difficult to use Regards, Ian Chiu Managing Editor, Everything USB http://www.everythingusb.com/ Share this post Link to post
