file deletion trouble

hi, i have a .mpg file i want to delete, but whenever i try to do so, it just ignores the delete command. No error messages, nothing. any other action i try whith this file also gets ignored; moving, opening, anything.

i tried rebooting, but no use.

Also, when i scanned it whith NOD antivirus the only thing it said was that it couldn't access the file.

can anyone lend a hand please?

you can try deleting it outside of Windows in DOS. Just be very careful and make sure you are deleting what you mean to.
