San Francisco, CA - The Flashforward2008 Conference and Film Festival, the longest-running and largest Adobe® Flash user conference in the world, has opened online registration for the August 20-22, 2008 event which returns to its first-ever location in San Francisco taking place at the Nob Hill Masonic Center.

Beau Ambur, Flashforward Conference and CEO Metaliq, announces his plan to shift the conference focus from training to visionary leadership, creativity, and professional practice reflecting the current needs of Flash designers and developers and the future path of the industry. Pricing for conference registration has remained the same as last year. Online registration for the Flashforward Conference is open.

“The speed of change in the industry is affording opportunities for Flash professionals who want to push boundaries,” said Beau Ambur. “While historically the Flashforward Conference has held a position of leadership in our industry, we plan to extend that position to a visionary one by positioning the conference as a forum for industry thinking. Members of the Flash community can and will push and shape the future and we want the Flashforward Conference to be the forum for thinking, ideas, and conversations.”

Ambur also revealed the first round of speakers for Flashforward08: Erik Natzke, interactive designer and artist; Grant Skinner, CEO and chief architect of gkinner.com; Hoss Gifford, published Flash developer, new media designer, and interactive director; Chuck Freedman, Flash Platform Engineer, Director of Developer Platform at Ribbit, and author of two books; Robert Hodgin; and Todd Rosenberg, aka Odd Todd. Additional speakers will be announced in June.

As in the past, The Flashforward Conference and Film Festival will continue to focus on Adobe Flash and Flash-related products and services. And, while this conference will still offer benefits to Flash beginners, beginning with 2008, this conference will be the destination for Flash thought leaders and those community members setting industry standards. The Flash community is urged to get involved in making Flashforward2008 as successful and unique as the very first conference in 2000 by submitting speaker proposals.
