Exorcist 0 Posted March 29, 2000 I've been having a fair few occasions recently, whereby trying to start a program up - causes the system to freeze....the program (it can vary sometimes) won't start...starting task manager doesn't help because i can't see the program to kill it. The taskbar becomes untouchable, and after a while the program starts up and normality resumes - nothing in the event log or any other log that I can see - doing my head in Anyone have any ideas? rbarbier 0 Posted March 29, 2000 Please give us info on what hardware you have and what software you have running in the background. Do you have beta drivers for any hardware? Are you overclocking anything? Share this post Link to post

rbarbier 0 Posted March 30, 2000 I am thinking maybe it would be the ram. I heard that you need good ram with the Athlon. What is the speed of the ram? I know you said PC100. I have 6n and 7n. That is what I would suggest. Did you know that ABIT is coming out with an Athlon board also? Asus is good also but I would recommend Abit. (Please no flames about this) Share this post Link to post
