DayTime Software has released Differencia 1.1, their data comparison and diff application for Mac OS X. Differencia can be used to perform bank reconciliations, compare Excel files and diff files from different applications. It can perform file comparisons between data files with different formats, making it unique amongst file diff tools. Simply put, Differencia compares apples to oranges. Version 1.1 includes many new features, performance improvements and bug fixes.

Differencia can compare data from any application that can export to a flat file format such as Comma Separated Values (CSV). It can handle data exported from SQL database tables, Excel and Numbers spreadsheets and from many more applications on Mac, Windows, Unix and Linux.

 

Differencia automatically identifies file and data formats, and is unique amongst diff tools in comparing files with different formats.
