Arin 0 Posted April 3, 2000 When i first got my copy of windows 2000 i was unable to install it. i would get to the blue screen after restarting and it would look up all that hardware stuff then it would give that msg on the bottom of the screen saying that windows 2000 is now setting up or something like that. I would wait, the keyboard lights and my explorer mouse would flash on, so i would wait longer... nothing. nothing would ever happen..... I finaly tried installing it on my friends computer and it did easly. finaly after blowing up and pissing a night away working on this and not seeing my girlfriend we desided to kinda like jump the computer, like wiht a car battery. I took my machine to his house, and pluged my hd into his mobo, i turned on my power, then he did the same to his. install was a brease. but when i put it in to my machine it still would not fully boot. i couldent get past the main screen. i got it into safe mode and i turned off Dma for the hardrives and it worked. Well a little ago i messed up some stuff and i needed to do the recovery mode, and i got that same blue screen just sitting there with nothing happening. well i kinda want to do a clean install soon since i have put in and out so much differend hardware and the comptuer is still retaining alot of hidden stuff about my friends comptuer i believe. I want to install this. mabey i need to flash my bios. i have a biostar m7mka mobo. does anyone know if there is a bios upgrade for it that is working in windows 2000? Share this post Link to post
