While not everyone is obsessed with looks and packing out their system with LEDs, if you have a desire to make your rig look eye-catching then you might want something a little more special in the looks department when choosing a system fan, without losing out in the performance stakes. Enter Xthermal's BTF120PRO LED - A 120mm fan complete with a white LED and promising some decent performance and noise levels into the bargain too. Can it deliver on all of those promises? "Xthermal's BTF120PRO series of 120mm fans are available both with and without LEDs, but as the product name suggests our version on test here today features said LED to be more pleasing on the eye. Anyhow, let's begin with a look at the retail packaging for this piece of hardware.

 

If you were wondering what colour that LED was, the box art gives it away - It's white. Certainly makes for a pleasant change from the blue LEDs that seem to crop up on every single electronics product these days. Also mentioned is that a low noise adapter is included with the fan, supposedly reducing its noise level down to just 9 decibels."
