news 28 Posted June 13, 2008 A reader wanted to know if Western Digital's new super-fast VelociRaptor drive is what it looks like - a 2.5-inch laptop drive in a 3.5-inch holder. Well, it kind of is. You actually _should_ be able to use it without the holder with no thermal problems. You just won't be putting it in a laptop, because of a couple of show-stopping obstacles.
