raerae28 0 Posted February 4, 2000 Has anyone had any success using this printer with W2K, I cannot get the drivers for NT4 to install, and don't know what other drivers to use to emulate. All help is appreciated. I would assume that there are drivers for this thing somewhere, its a brand new printer model. Rae Share this post Link to post

raerae28 0 Posted February 7, 2000 No Solution was posted. I already did the search, and posted something several weeks in the same vein, and no one answered. Thanks for telling me though. Share this post Link to post
Chemical 0 Posted March 11, 2000 I just found out that the canon BJC 5100 printer driver for Win2000 will be released in May/2000. Check the oceanic web site for details. www.canon.com.au Share this post Link to post
bertl 0 Posted March 28, 2000 got the Winnt-drivers install under Win2k,editing the printupg.inf like in the lexmark-hack. After clicking away the "spoolserv.exe has caused a fault"-msg and rebooting once the printer works fine under Win2k. Share this post Link to post
bertl 0 Posted March 29, 2000 forgot to tell you! Something you may never ever do in this configuration is starting that "auto head alignment", this causues the printer and the complete printer-subsystem to go to nirwana ! Share this post Link to post
Chemical 0 Posted April 3, 2000 Hey Bertl, could you please explain how you got the driver installed, I tried the hack and it does not install. Maybe I am forgetting something? thanks Share this post Link to post
bertl 0 Posted April 3, 2000 If you want, you can download my edited "printupg.inf" from freedrive: http://www.freedrive.com/ASP/PostFolderShortcut.asp?fsc=4234817 Share this post Link to post
bertl 0 Posted April 3, 2000 You will also need to get the driver BJC51KNT.EXE ( I can't remember exactly, but i think it's from the "canon.com"-site ), that's the one wich unpacks to a directory of your choice and it's to install with the printer-install-assistant. Share this post Link to post
Chemical 0 Posted April 4, 2000 Thanks alot Bertl. The printer installed with out an issue. I did not get any errors like you described. No reboot either. Thanks again, I can now get rid of my Win98 installation and change to the NTFS partition. The site for the NT4 driver is canon.com - North America. Share this post Link to post
