Cdrom and Cdr problems

ABIT BE-II with the latest bios

Initio 9100UW with Teac 532s (Cdrom) and Teac 56s (CDR) on PCI Slot 2

Guillemot Geforce SDR on AGP

Xitel (Aureal 2) soundcard on PCI Slot 3

Ethernet Card (3Com) on PCI Slot 4

 

Whenever I try to access a cd from my cdrom drive, the system freezes and then continually seeks on the cdr drive. Anyone have any suggestions on why this is happening?

check for a firmware update in teac's website. it's a known issue
