San Francisco, California - The Flashforward Conference and Film Festival announces three keynote speakers for the August 20-22, 2008 conference taking place in San Francisco at the Nob Hill Masonic Center. Joining the current line-up are three diverse speakers and a roster of industry leaders bringing fresh creative perspectives to the conference and rounding out the educational presentations with inspiration and fresh insights. Leading the line-up are three keynotes speaking for the first time at Flashforward2008: Miha Pogacnik, Cultural Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia; David Carson, ground breaking typographer and graphic designer; and Scott McCloud, comic book artist and, according to Locus Magazine, "arguably the most important cartoonist alive". Pogacnik will present Passion, Creativity, and Business in which he demonstrates the principles of renewal and change, transforming thinking patterns and removing barriers which limit creativity and vision; as graphic design's leading rule breaker Carson will cover The Rules of Graphic Design, and McCloud on Comics: A Medium in Transition discussing comics and technology.
