Madrid, Spain - LateNiteSoft and Stunt Software today announce the acquisition of Snapshot by LateNiteSoft. The deal, effective immediately, ensures the continued evolution of the popular photo printing application.

LateNiteSoft are planning to provide frequent updates to Snapshot, as well as major releases approximately every 12 to 18 months. "We are honored and delighted to have Snapshot under our umbrella", says Jorge Llubia, LateNiteSoft co-founder and COO. "It is a sound product, with lots of room for growth and evolution, and we are excited about planning our next releases".

LateNiteSoft and Stunt Software have carefully designed a smooth transition. Stunt Software will continue to provide support and technical expertise while LateNiteSoft get up to speed. "Snapshot customers and their well-being are my main motivation behind this deal", says Dan Messing, from Stunt Software. "The new ownership of Snapshot will result in a renewed development that is sorely needed. As a Snapshot user myself, I can't wait to see what the guys at LateNiteSoft come up with".

The acquisition of Snapshot will help LateNiteSoft implement their strategy to broaden their portfolio and become a reference in the independent developer landscape. After having achieved a great success with Xslimmer since its introduction in late 2006, LateNiteSoft are now ready to launch Sketches for Apple's iPhone, and are fully committed to continue leveraging their expertise on Cocoa and other Apple Technologies.

Like many other small and creative development companies, LateNiteSoft founders started out writing Xslimmer after their day jobs and family commitments were over each day. Months of hard work later, they have recently decided to go all the way and establish themselves as full-time Indie developers, working on Mac and iPhone apps. "Incorporating Snapshot just after we've gone indie is like a Christmas present for us - we suddenly have a third product and feel the thrill to be able to work on new features, instead of having to spend many weeks in all the technical foundations", says Pedro Cuenca, co-founder and CTO. "What's more important, we are incorporating an existing and faithful customer base, plus a solid technology framework that already complements our own work on Sketches and other products yet to be announced", confirms Jorge.
