Pagongski 0 Posted April 11, 2000 My current system is: -BP6 with QQ bios -dual 500 celeron -dual boot win2k/98 -192mb ram -sblive -creative geforce ddr -WD 13,6gb ata66 hd -zoltrix 56k modem i am having problems with win2k because it doesnt detect my modem (and i am still waiting for isdn to be installed) the isdn card i have isnt recognized by win2k anyway. i have a be6-ii on my girlfriend's computer and i am seriously considering seeling my bp6 and the two celerons and getting myself a PIII550 and myu be6-ii back. What i need advise on is if i should do the change? Tell me what you think about the bp6 on dual mode, the piii550, performance comparisons, anything is worth the info, if you dont mind. The piii550 is also good for future upgrading, its easier for me to sell the pii than two celerons. Make thoise opinions roll in, battle it out, whos in favour of the bp6 with win2k? Then the be6-ii owners on the other side with piii550. :-) Please i need all the feedback i can get. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
YuppieScum 0 Posted April 11, 2000 Change the mobo 'cos the modem doesn't work? Hm - I've got a nice bridge for sale... The dual will always be better than the single...ditch the modem and ISDN TA, and get better(supported) ones. ------------------ SuperMicro P6DBS (dual UW-SCSI) BIOS 2.2, 2*Celery 300a @ 450Mhz, 384MB PC100 RAM SCSI-A=4.3Gb+9Gb, SCSI-B=Tosh32x CD-ROM, Yamaha4416 CD-RW, Iomega ZIP100, IDE1=4.3Gb IBM EtherJet 10/100 NIC PCI + Nortel ADSL "modem" Matrox G400 DH 32Mb AGP + Quantum3D Voodoo2 SLI PCI (CL TNT1 AGP on a shelf) SoundBlaster Live PCI (not Value) Win2K build 2195 Retail (not 120-day eval) Share this post Link to post
