Wellington, New Zealand - Majic Jungle Software has released Chopper, their action packed side-scrolling helicopter game, for iPhone and iPod Touch. Chopper is a side-scrolling helicopter game. Complete your mission and return to base, while avoiding enemy fire from tanks and bazooka wielding mad men. Play through a total of sixty levels across three difficulties. Tilt to fly, and touch the screen to drop bombs or fire the machine gun. For a limited time there is also an emulator available for Mac OS X that renders a 3D iPhone with Chopper playable on the screen. The emulator runs a demo version featuring the first eight levels of Chopper on the easiest difficulty setting. Chopper was originally released as an entry in 2003's game development competition 'uDevGame'. It received many awards including best in gameplay and placed second overall. Since then Chopper has had many improvements with levels added and a complete overhaul of graphics and sound. Chopper for the iPhone was completely re-written from scratch to take advantage of the unique characteristics of the device. It features many of the same levels as in the original, and has the same game-play but with many small changes to better fit the iPhone. Jets and the time limit have been removed, and many game elements have been tweaked to provide an easier learning curve initially, but add a lot more challenge in the later levels. Unlike the original it is also now possible to save your game at any point, and the game can quit at a moments notice and come right back in where it left off. Pricing and Availability: Chooper is available right now for $7.99 USD from the App Store. It will run on any iPhone or iPod Touch. The demo for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.5.
