Targeted at casual users, Calories is a perfect compliment to body building, fitness and other sports. Focused on ease-of-use, users may select foods from the applications database and add them to breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacking categories. Calories then calculates and displays the total consumption of calories, carbs, fat and proteins for the whole day, or for one of the categories. Targeted at casual users who wish to keep a journal of their daily nutrition activities, Calories is a perfect compliment to body building, fitness and other sports. Users may select foods from the applications database and add them to breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacking categories. Depending on his/her selection, Calories then automatically calculates the total consumption of calories, carbs, fat and proteins for the whole day, or for one of the categories. The application calculates and displays more than 40 nutrients; minerals and ingredients like Alcohol, Zink, Vitamins, etc. Based on customer feedback, Version 1.1 includes a slew of requested features and enhancements: Calories now provides the capability for users to add their own Custom Foods, as well as the ability to create foods from a collection of foods: a particularly useful feature for simple recipe functionality/management. Additionally, Calories provides improved Nutrients Reporting and users may print their daily diet with a full nutrient profile. The Nutrients Inspector now shows nutrient averages for the week, month and year for all nutrients. Calories offers a much improved search. When in search mode, the action button contains 4 menu items: New Food, Edit Food, Duplicate Food, Delete Food. New/Edit/Duplicate brings up a form where users can enter food details. Custom foods are now marked with a green checkmark. Version 1.1 now conforms to the Metric Standard (measurements in grams and milliliters). The Date and Time are now shown in the users language and date format. Weeks can start on Sunday or Monday, depending on the users system locale preferences.
