LOWriDER2025 0 Posted March 25, 2003 Sorry to ask some dumb questions maybe asked for over a thousands times. Maybe you can redirect me to a thread with the same questions I have.I wanna run a webserver on my pc.It's a Intel pentium III 600Mhz with 128MB SDRAM, 2HDD(1:100GB, 2:20GB).I installed Win XP Pro on HDD1 and Linux Red Hat 8 on the other. Both work perfectly and I use the Linux GRUB-loader. I want to install PHP,Perl and Apache. But sometimes the list with available versions seems so long. I don't know which version to use anymore :x .Can you guys tell me what versions I need and what needs to be configured ? Or do you know a site where the configuration and installation notes are on ? Thanks & greetzzz, Tim Share this post Link to post
Philipp 6 Posted March 26, 2003 Red Hat 8.0 comes already with Apache 2.0.40 and PHP 4.2.2. You can install both with add/remove applications => webserver Share this post Link to post
souldreamer 0 Posted April 3, 2003 The best is to install Apache 2.0.45, and PHP 4.3.2 RC1 Share this post Link to post
Admiral LSD 0 Posted April 4, 2003 When did Apache 2.0.45 come out? I only put 2.0.44 on less than a week ago and I double checked and could have sworn 2.0.45 wasn't there then... Share this post Link to post
