Intel Create & Share Pro camera drivers...

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for drivers for my Webcam. I know that the non-pro (CS-330) version works, but not the pro (CS-430) version frown

Does anyone knows where I can find drivers or any tricks to make it work?

Forget about Intel... They don't know anything about Windows 2000!!!

Thanks

One funny thing about Intel support:

They're saying that they won't support Windows 2000 because it is a replacement of Windows NT and they don't support NT...

I don't know if it is because the tech I talked with was stupid (he didn't know that win2k support USB) or if it is Intel official answere...

I really need help on that... I'm stuck with tath camera (gift from a friend and the store doesn't want to take it back...)

Did you ever figure a way out to get this camera to work under 2000?

Somebody put a note up on this site that says the CS430 works under Win2000. I hope they post details if they had to do something special, because it sure as hell doesn't work without drivers. :}

I talked to them and they said in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that they will NEVER support Win2K for the Intel Pro CS430 USB CAM.

They were quite rude and stupid about it.

can you take it apart and find out what chip it uses? If it says on the board somewhere CV1610-OV-511 then the board is actually made by Omnivision and the drivers for the Netview cam will work just fine for it. I have the Dlink DSB-C300 and it's just like that, I even told Dlink about the drivers and they STILL don't have them on their website.

Good news! I tore apart a Win98 and Win2K machine and managed to assemble a hacked version of the TWAIN drivers so at very least you can use it with your favorite graphics editing program or anything that supports TWAIN. If you have what Win2K recognizes as an "Intel USB Video Camera III", go to: http://web.tampabay.rr.com/andrew/intel_camera_fix.htm for info on getting the patch.
