United Kingdom - 65bit Software today announced the launch of the latest version of their database publishing solution for Adobe InDesign, EasyCatalog. EasyCatalog CS3 3.0.7 adds support for a new module that allows users to work with complex, structured, data.

"We're constantly developing EasyCatalog to make it the most powerful and flexible database publishing solution for Adobe InDesign," said Mark Haden, Director of 65bit Software.

"Since its launch in 2003, EasyCatalog has been used to create catalogs, brochures and price lists in over thirty countries around the world. One of the biggest problems has always been how we import complex structured data that's stored in a relational database such as MySQL. This latest module overcomes this by allowing the user to reproduce their database structure in EasyCatalog and use that from within InDesign."

"When used in conjunction with EasyCatalog's Pagination Module, users will now have the opportunity to automatically generate complex, structured, documents."

The latest version of EasyCatalog also includes a number of new user-requested features and bug fixes.

About EasyCatalog:

Launched in 2003, EasyCatalog is now trusted by thousands of users in over thirty countries across six continents. EasyCatalog increases InDesign productivity by providing dynamic, two-way, linking of data from a CSV file, XML structure or ODBC database to text or images in InDesign documents. By importing data directly into InDesign, errors are reduced and the accuracy of documents is increased. If the source data changes - such as last-minute price updates - all fields in the document can be updated automatically.

EasyCatalog also offers semi-automatic and automatic creation (using the optional Pagination Module) of structured documents.

Availability and Pricing:

The new version of EasyCatalog is available immediately for InDesign CS3 on Macintosh and Windows. A free 15-day unlimited evaluation version is available for download from the 65bit website.

The new Relational Module is an optional EasyCatalog CS3 module, priced at $499 USD. Versions of EasyCatalog are also available for InDesign CS1 and CS2. Both the CS2 and CS3 versions of EasyCatalog are localized in English, French and German.
