mello_j 0 Posted April 25, 2000 unfortunatly i have given up for now... the stupid graphics drivers kept me crashing like crazy in win2k...so i went back to 98 i have crashed much less, but oh my, how slow does win98 seem to win 2k.... horrible i have muchos problems in games under driver versions 5.14 even when i loaded up 3.66 i got a bluescreen with kmode exception not handled and pointing to the n4display.dll (or something like that) so i will stagnate in win98 for a while. I will see if win2k gets better drivers soon..(perhaps it was creative drivers f-ing me up?) amd athalon 750 asus k7m asus v6800 geforce ddr sound blaster live value 20 gig maxtor. Kyosho46vr 0 Posted April 27, 2000 I too am going back to 98. Win2000 all of a sudden just craps out. And with the devices I have I think these cause the problem. I also will wait until Win2000 is more driver friendly. AMD K7-500 FIC SD11 MB 256 Meg Ram CL TNT 2 SB Live! CL DVD Memorex CDR Share this post Link to post

jazTec 0 Posted April 27, 2000 You know it really sucks . . . .I have been running 2k right after rc2 was released and I have loved EVEY minute of it, but I got a MS Sidewinder Gamepad and a MS Sidewinder Pro so I could play Boarder Zone and not have to use the keyboard, the machine is stable, so stable I have switched my work PC over, but for the life of me I can not get the Button Profiles to work under 2k even with the 4.x drivers for the gamepads. If you could give some help, please save me from Windows98 ! ! ! ! ! ! !
