Help with Win2K and TNT 770 Ultra

Well, I made the mistake of applying the compatibility upgrade to Win 2K and I lost all 3d in my games. I am not sure that this is the reason that I lost 3d, but the timing is perfect.

 

Now all games either state that no 3d hardware is found, or they run in software rendered mode.

 

I've tried installing numerous versions of the drivers, but so far no luck.

 

I've tried this site (lots of good info), http://win2kgames.com/ (also good info),

microsoft.public.win2000.games (no luck), http://www.reactorcritical.com/ (also lots of info),

I even got to the point of trying game dealers like http://www.shop-gamedealer.com with no luck. I did pick up a copy of UT, so I need to fix this before it arrives :-)

 

My specs:

Dell PIII 600mhz

256MB RAM

TNT 770 Ultra

Win 2000

 

If you have any ideas, please let me know.

I have a custom setup;

 

P3 550

256MB RAM

ASUS P3B-F

Viper V770 Ultra

Win2K Pro

 

and UT, Q3, Forsaken, HL, etc. all run great. I use the 5.13 driver from nVidia.
