Cutha 0 Posted May 8, 2000 I currently have a GA-7iX. I am thinking of upgrading to one of the new VIA Apollo KX133 Chipset based MB's. But I am not going to bother unless there are drivers for win2k. I had some major problems with my vid card and everything else. I now have it setup so it only crashes once or twice a day UT is playable for a short time until it randomly crashes. AOE2 even craps out. Niether hangs the system. Both games behave the same in win2k and win98se. I am sure the vid drivers are the source of some of the problems, but I think perhaps my sound card isn't helping. My question: Are there any issues with the new via chipset? Might it fix my instability issues? At this point I am very impressed with the K7 as far as performance goes, but if I can't run anything with any real stability what is the point? Thanks for your time to read my ramble.
