The Flash on Tap Conference today announced four limited attendance all-day workshops for Flash designers and developers taking place in Boston at the Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. Top Instructors offer deep-dive into PaperVision3D, AS3, Red5, and Flash Animation to Flash on Tap attendees October 7-9 in Boston. Early bird pricing ends September 7th at midnight EST. Boston, MA - The Flash on Tap Conference today announced four limited attendance all-day workshops for Flash designers and developers taking place October 7, 2008 from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in Boston at the Park Plaza Hotel and Towers. The workshops are offered prior to the start of the Flash on Tap Conference for those attendees who wish to add an all-day learning opportunity to their conference experience.

 

The workshops: PaperVision3D led by John Grden and Andy Zupko; AS3 for Designers taught by Richard Shupe; Red5 presented by Dominick Accattato and Paul Gregoire; and Animation for Flash taught by leading Flash animator, Chris Georgenes, can be taken by conference attendees and those not attending the conference who wish to take an all-day class on one of the four subjects.

 

The Flash community, a tightly-knit group of Flash designers and developers, is well known for sharing information, code, and creativity with each other. As a result the industry moves ideas and concepts to the forefront quickly and openly. These classes are an opportunity for conference attendees to fill in their own knowledge gaps and add to their skill set.

 

Chris Georgenes, a full-time freelance Flash designer and animator, shares the inside scoop on the best time-saving techniques for Flash designers and animators in Animation for Flash. In PaperVision3D, John Grden and Andy Zupko cover new features - Winter Wonder Land, optimization techniques as well as effects built into PaperVision3D, and a comprehensive look at layering systems used to make your projects look better and run faster.

 

Dominick Accattato and Paul Gregoire will teach you to build and deliver streaming and social media apps using Red5. They will also teach the Red5 server side Java API, ActionScript 3, and Flash CS3 needed to build rich media applications with audio, video and interactive data. Rich Shupe helps attendees get started with AS3 making everyone familiar with programming basics and then graduating the class to ActionScript-specific syntax. By the end of the AS3 workshop attendees will be able to understand and write AS3 code.
