NEO^ 0 Posted April 21, 2000 Hey m8s! I have a huge problem with my modem in Win2k. It's a Jet medialabs V1456VQE-R. Acctually, the Jet Medialabs part ain't so important since several comanies sell the V1456VQE-R modem. I have flashed it to v90 (with utility from Aksey). I flashed it after the problems started so that aian't the problem. The thing is I can connect to my ISP but i recive hell of alot error packets. And can't view any sites. It does not hang up or so but it's useless. I have called the support on my ISP and they couldn't help me. Last thing he told me to do was to reinstall all network things in Win2k. Is that gona help me? I think I have tested everything there is to test. But plz, If you have any idea... HELP ME! =) Thanx in advance m8s! Share this post Link to post

NEO^ 0 Posted April 22, 2000 The thing is that the verry same computer has been runnin Win95 and WinNT 4 with the same telephoneline and same modem. And the verry same modem is atm being used at my Amiga 4000 without ANY problem. So it must be some sort of setting in Win2k i have missed... =/ Share this post Link to post

Ekstreme 0 Posted May 12, 2000 I have the same sort of modem, and somewhat similar problems back with RC2. The fix I found, was: Goto the properties of your connection, click on Networking, settings, and turn off ALL the options (unless you don't play online games and compression is your thing) Fixed my probs fine and dandy Hope it helps ------------------ **************************************** Intel PIII 450 ASUS P2B-F (BIOS 1012) 128 MB PC 100 SDRam Diamond Viper 770 32Mb TNT2 (Det. 5.14) Quantum Fireball 8.4Gb HDD Tekram DC-310 SCSI Adapter Panasonic CW-7502 SCSI CD-R Mitsubishi Diamond Data 32x IDE CD Rom Creative Sound Blaster PCI 64 (ES 1370) Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D USB Epson Stylus Color 400 Dynalink V1456VQE External 56k V.90 Daewoo 710b 17" Windows 2000 2195.1 **************************************** #NTCompatible on UNDERNET!!!
